Fieldcraft Training Exercise 2/19

311 Squadron will be conducting a Fieldcraft Training Exercise at Rat Gully (Camp Kariong). Details below:

LOCATION: Rat Gully (Camp Kariong), Woy Woy Road Kariong, NSW 2250
ACTIVITY COMMENCEMENT: 0800h (8.00am) 18 May 19
ACTIVITY CONCLUSION: 1600h (4.00pm) 19 May 19
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS: DPU with bush hat + Equipment. See Equipment list in Joining Instruction
DOCUMENTATION: Nominate on CadetNet, Download the PCF and then Upload the Completed and Signed PCF to CadetNet, and bring the hard copy with them.

Parents/guardians are also advised that the road into Rat Gully is not sealed, and has a speed limit of 30km/h. We ask all parents/guardians to adhere to this speed limit to ensure the safety of all members and their families.

311SQN .22LR Live Fire Practice 13th April

311 Squadron Live Fire Small Bore Range Practice 2/19 will be conducted on the 13th of April 2019.
This activity is only open to Cadets that have passed Firearms Training Elective (FTE)

Details as follows:
LOCATION: Central Coast Small Bore & Air Rifle Club. Kariong Regional Shooting Complex Woy Woy Road, Kariong, NSW 2250
ACTIVITY COMMENCEMENT: Shooting Team 0730h (7.30am) 13 Apr 19
ACTIVITY COMMENCEMENT: All Squadron 1100h (11.00am) 13 Apr 19
ACTIVITY CONCLUSION: 1600h (4.00pm) 13 Apr 19
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: By own means
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS: DPU & 311SQN cap
COST: Nil
MESSING: Cadets are to bring their own food for 1 x meal (lunch).
There is no on-site supply of drinking water, therefore all participants should bring at least 2 litres of drinking water to the activity. The Squadron Canteen will be open for light refreshments during the day.

Cadets are to Nominate using CadetNet and upload a completed Parental Consent form.
The hard copy Parental Consent form is to be brought to the activity.

Rec Night Term 1 2019 - Ten Pin Bowling

311 Squadron end of Term Recreation night will be held at Gosford City Bowl at Wyoming.
This is a night to allow cadets to have a social event to end the term, and will replace the regular Thursday night parade.

ACTIVITY COMMENCEMENT: 1830h (6.30pm) 11 Apr 19
ACTIVITY CONCLUSION: 2100h (9.00pm) 11 Apr 19
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: By own means
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS: Civilian Attire
COST: Nil
MESSING: Snacks may be purchased from the venue cafe if desired during the activity.

Cadets are to Nominate using CadetNet and upload a completed Parental Consent form.

Recruit & Elective Training Weekend 2019

311 Squadron will be conducting our Recruit & Elective Training weekend on the 23rd and 24th of March 2019.
This activity is compulsory for all new recruits. 44 Course will be conducting FTE and other members will have various elective training opportunities. Please see the information below and Download the attached joining Instruction.

ACTIVITY CONCLUSION: 1600h (4.00pm) 23 Mar 19 / 1600h (4.00pm) 24 Mar 19
This is not an overnight activity. Each Day is 8am to 4pm
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS: DPU with Squadron hat or Neat Civilian Attire with Squadron Shirt for 45 course.
MESSING: All participants are to bring a water bottle and cater for their own lunch, morning and afternoon tea. The Squadron Canteen will be open for morning and afternoon tea.

Parents/guardians are also advised that approximately 3km of Oyster Shell Road leading into SBAC is LOW SPEED due to being unsealed and narrow. All vehicles entering and exiting the site are to use caution and adjust their speed appropriately.
The last 2km of Oyster Shell Road is unsealed and single lane, therefore a traffic management plan will be in effect on Saturday morning (arrival) and Sunday afternoon (departure). The plan will involve a 15 minute arrival window on both Saturday (8.00am to 8.15am) and Sunday (4.00pm to 4.15pm). Vehicles arriving at a designated interchange point (supervised by a 311SQN staff member) outside of the arrival windows on each day will be halted until vehicles exiting SBCAC have passed. This plan is to ensure the safety of ALL persons travelling to and from the site.
Your compliance and patience with this safety precaution is greatly appreciated.

311SQN .22LR Live Fire Practice 9th Feb

311 Squadron will be conducting a Live Fire Practice for all FTE qualified cadets which will be held at Kariong Regional Shooting Complex, Woy Woy Road, Kariong on Saturday the 9th of February 2019.

Location: Kariong Regional Shooting Complex
Assemble: Shooting Team at 0730 (7:30 am), Remainder of Squadron 11:00 (11:00am) Saturday 09 February
Dismissal: 1600 (4:00 pm) Saturday 09 February
Dress: DPU with 311SQN cap
Messing: Participants will need to provide their own water, lunch and refreshments (There is no facility to purchase lunch). Some soft drinks and snacks are available for sale through the Squadron Canteen.
Admin: All participants MUST be FTE qualified. Members must nominate for this activity using CadetNet and bring 2 x signed PCF's printable through the CadetNet nomination process. If members are unable to access CadetNet they must bring 2 x older TR66 Consent Forms (Click here to download)

Welcome Back to 311SQN for 2019

Welcome back to 311 (City of Gosford) Squadron for 2019.

Squadron weekly parades will commence this Thursday, the 31st of January, Dress is DPU.
The first revision of the Squadron Organisational Chart is available on the Resource page.

Flight time is scheduled for first period, and will commence from the start of the night with 11 Flight will be located in the drill hall, with 16A flight in the HQ training rooms.
